Medicaid Cuts

Yahoo/AP

A $2.6 trillion budget outline barely approved by Congress will cut projected spending on Medicaid for the poor, lock in tax cuts and — Republicans claim — put the country on a path toward lower federal deficits.

[...]

...with Medicaid singled out for a $10 billion reduction in the four-year period beginning in 2007

Jr's Speech

I searched the world over, and no one is talking about jr's speech. I mean no one...

It's too bad, too. Who predicted him to change direction, flip-flop, shift gears, whatever... and still have time to slap around the right-wing whack-o's?

bush's speech was a major play for the support of liberal republicans. The ones that have been holding up all of his legislation.

One way he reached out was distancing himself from the "Justice Sunday" loons. In hopes of calming the liberal republican's fears about the party moving to far to the right.

You'd think that would be news...

Sludge on C-Span

He just defended himself for not being able to cover every story, and then attacked liberal bloggers for not covering every story....

North Korea Has The Bomb

NY Times

When asked by Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York during a hearing on Thursday whether "North Korea has the ability to arm a missile with a nuclear device," Admiral Jacoby responded, "The assessment is that they have the capability to do that, yes ma'am."

Damn it! What did I tell you kids?

Yeah, I'm talking to you, you little hippie freaks. Didn't I tell you to stop messing around on the Capitol lawn? Don't act like you didn't hear me when I stuck my head out the window earlier. I saw you look up. I saw you laughing. Punks! I told you to clear out and take your games somewhere else. Then, not 15 minutes later, this thing sails right through the window and interrupts deliberations of the House Committee on Ways and Means.

Oh yeah? Is that so? Well, guess what...

It's Tom DeLay's Frisbee now!

LOL! I'm Dying Here!!!

Pope Suffering Forever in Hell!

So claims man on MSNBC's Scarborough Country

Transcript

BUCHANAN: All right, let me follow up on that, Marty Minto. You are an evangelical Christian who believes you must be born again in order to enter the kingdom of heaven, correct?

MINTO: That‘s correct.

BUCHANAN: All right. And the Holy Father, you do not know whether or not he was born again, correct?

MINTO: That‘s correct.

BUCHANAN: All right. Let me ask you, there are an awful lot of people in this world—let‘s take Chinese—who aren‘t open to the whole idea of Jesus or being born again, because they don‘t hear the word. Do you think the heaven—the gates of heaven are closed to them?

MINTO: Well, I believe in the words of Jesus himself, because I believe Jesus was God revealed to us in the flesh.

BUCHANAN: All right.

MINTO: And Jesus said himself, unless...

BUCHANAN: What do you say, then, in following what you believe—I understand your belief.

MINTO: Yes.

BUCHANAN: Do you think they could enter the kingdom of heaven?

MINTO: Unless they are born again, unless they have trusted Jesus as the only way to get to heaven, no, I do not believe they will enter...

(CROSSTALK)

BUCHANAN: All right. Let me ask you, do you think Jews can get to heaven if they do not embrace Jesus Christ and are born again?

MINTO: No, I do not believe that Jews will get to heaven either.

BUCHANAN: I know this is a belief, because I know a number of evangelical Christians. They are very sincere and true in this belief.

MINTO: Sure.

BUCHANAN: And it‘s been very controversial.

Where do you think, then—let‘s assume Pope John Paul II was not born again, as you would describe it. Where do you think his soul is now?

MINTO: Well, the Bible says there‘s only two places, heaven and hell. And to be with God is to be in that place called heaven, to be in his presence.

BUCHANAN: Right.

MINTO: To be separated from him is that place called hell. It‘s a place of torment and suffering forever and ever.

...almost forgot about it.

Exposé

Remember when they used to do Exposé's? They'd film buying a car, let an expert watch the film, and then explain to everyone how they got screwed...

Whatever happened to that?

I'm listening to some jerk on C-Span. A Texan no less. Oh-wait they just put his name up. Jeb Hensarling... Now ol' Jeb is comparing the rate of growth between family budgets and the government. As if they have anything in common! Who cares if the average family budget grew at a rate of 3% (I doubt it), and the government's grew at 50% (doubt that too)... It's meaningless.

Now I don't expect the host to correct ol' Jeb. The hosts on C-Span don't get involved in issues. They are truely "Fair and Balanced." And it's not what they're there for. C-Span is nothing more than an outlet for people who want their message to be heard...

...but CNN isn't C-Span. So would it kill 'em to tell us when someone is lying? MSNBC and FOX pull this crap too. The phrase "this debate will surely continue" has become code for "you're such a fuckin liar!, and we'd point that out... but we're out of time."

One such lier recently went on CNN to discuss Texas' new law making it illegal for gays to become foster parents. I yield to The Daily Show's Jon Stewart who, in this "Gaywatch" segment, asks the question "Why don't you call them on their bullshit on the air? You're an anchor for fucks sake!"

Bolton Bombs

Why can't everyone just agree that John Bolton was a bad choice for U.N. ambassador?

I mean bad...

Really Bad!

Skip the ideological stuff, shouldn't "plays well with others" be a requirement for anyone applying for a job as an ambassador?

I Hate Drudge

Under the title BBC PLANTS HECKLERS TO DISRUPT UK CONSERVATIVE RALLY... , Matt Drudge links to this story about an upcomming BBC program about hecklers.

It seems that the BBC put gave microphones to the hecklers, and in Drudge's eyes that makes them plants.

But...

Drudge has never had a problem with bush's townhall meetings, in which the whole audience is a plant.

...and he has even defended Jeff Gannon.

Way to follow through, Matt.

How Would You Fix Social Security?

I get this question a lot. It's usually posed towards liberals in general, something along the line of the dems have no ideas, and just complain. Blah, blah blah...

How would I fix SS? That's easy...

Raise Taxes.

...and I don't mean raise as increase, I mean raise as in "fundraise".

Just look at the problem with illegal immigration. Illegals don't pay taxes. The scumbag that hires them don't pay their share either.

Just closing the border would raise some serious tax revenue.

And instead of spending tax dollars on putting drug users in jail, why not put them to work on public works projects? That would save some serious tax revenue. If they slack off, get mouthy, or lazy, then you can throw them in jail. They don't even have to work really... You could dock someone's pay a dollar an hour for six months for smoking pot, doing that would give us a lot more money then footing the bill for a six month stay in prison.

Why not close some of these corporate tax shelter loopholes that cost the American taxpayer billions every year?

Is as if we're giving them a tax break for outsourcing.

Fixing that would lower most Americans tax burden, and shore up Social Security.

...and wouldn't that be something.

She's Been Called Many Things...

The Paris Hilton of Politics
Little Tranny Annie
"Da Man"
Fabio's Wimpy Little Brother
Adam and EEEEEE!!!!

...but this week Time Magazine called her "Ms. Right", and they put her on the cover. Yes I'm talking about Ann Coulter.

For political intellectuals listening to Ann Coulter speak is on par with watching Jerry Springer.

For the Jerry Springer crowd Ann is 'kinda cute for a guy.'

I'm sure many of you are wondering how such an evil bitch could make it on to television in the first place. I blame Chris Matthews. If only Chris could be more honest about how his misunderstood attraction to men has compelled him to come up with ways to spend more time with Ann, the world would finally understand how the hell she got on HardBall in the first place.

Poor Ann...

...she's had a tough week. First she tried to blame Time for her freakish picture on their cover. But then McLusky pointed out how she gave herself alien hands when she photoshop'ed her fat ass for a picture on her website.

Then Time got pissed about her whining, and put up a close-up of Ann on their website. Yikes.

So then sites like Think Progress ripped Time a new one for implying, in their story on Ann, that she for the most part gets her facts right. Please.

Remember when Ann got a pies thrown at her? The kids who threw the pies got off because Ann never showed up at court. Ann blamed it on a "liberal" prosecuting attorney. When you're that close to a story, you're not "getting your facts wrong" you're an outright liar.

...and when they couldn't defend putting an outright liar on their cover. Time defended it's self by pointing out that even Hitler has been on it's cover.

I keep waiting for a holocaust survivor to stand up and say: "I knew Hitler. Hitler was an enemy of mine. Ann Coulter is no Hitler", and then all the evil people in attendance could gasp, because realize that they'd been duped by a woman who can't even get being evil right.

...but then I realize that I am just being silly. Ann is clearly as evil as Hitler. When it comes to evil Ann really is "Ms. Right", and at this point the only thing about Ann Coulter that surprises me, is that she hasn't been killed yet.

I'm not advocating the killing of Ann Coulter. I don't have to.

She does it herself. Every time she gives a speech she could be arrested for attempted suicide.

Or how about inciting a riot? What else do you call it when Ann, after enraging a crowd at Kansas University, asks:

"Could 10 of the largest College Republicans start walking up and down the aisles and start removing anyone shouting?" Coulter asked. "Otherwise, this
lecture is over."

I'd a busted the jaw of any bastard that put a finger on me. I take that back. I'd a bum rushed the stage, and cut her throat, and that's why I don't go to see Ann Coulter speak. I like my freedom, and I avoid violence.

...but let's face it. Ann earns a living giving hate speeches. She dreams of being attacked. She only says what she says to get attention. She sits backstage at FOX News all day long, hoping to get on the air, and doing it for free. She whores herself out non-stop. All in the hopes of getting more attention, of becoming a bigger name, of charging more for her speaking fees.

Here are some Ann Coulter quotes via Time

"Whether they are defending the Soviet Union or bleating for Saddam Hussein, liberals are always against America. They are either traitors or idiots..."

"I think we ought to nuke North Korea right now just to give the rest of the world a warning. Boom!…They’re a major threat. I just think it would be fun to nuke them and have it be a warning to…the world."

“Press passes can’t be that hard to come by if the White House allows that old Arab Helen Thomas to sit within yards of the president.”

"We need to execute people like John Walker in order to physically intimidate liberals, by making them realize that they can be killed, too. Otherwise, they will turn out to be outright traitors."

they forgot:

"A Muslim by any other name blows up just the same."

Maybe the next Muslim that blows themself up will be holding you closely Ann. Or maybe you're banking on your manish looks. Hoping that they'll make any suicide bomber feel kinda gay, and that, faced with hugging you, will just go home instead.

Lord knows I would.

...and feel free to watch Ann look like a buffoon on The Fifth Estate.

Canadian troops in Vietnam... What a dumbass...

The House is set to approve an energy bill that would open an Alaska wildlife refuge to oil drilling and provide billions of dollars in benefits to energy industries, but critics say it does little to reduce the nation's thirst for oil.

What's the point? Any oil pulled out of A.N.W.R. is just going to be sold to Russia, because it's not worth it to ship it all the way to the U.S.!! What a fuckin joke!!

The House bill also would shield the makers of MTBE, a gasoline additive that has prompted dozens of lawsuits over drinking water contamination, from defective product liability claims. The issue was blamed for scuttling energy legislation in the Senate in 2003.

I hope the republicans, who support protecting the makers of MTBE, have to watch their own children die of cancer. Cancer caused from drinking water contaminated with MTBE's.

House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, R-Texas, has insisted that the MTBE liability waiver be included

Has it become a rule?

Does every story about a disgusting abuse of the American people have to have a Tom Delay quote supporting the abuse?

My New Job Is Hurting More Than My Blog

I am in pain...

I'm doing hard labor for 9 or 10 hours a day now, and I gotta tell ya, it hurts.

...and in more ways than one.

Lets start with the obvious. My arms, shoulders, legs and back are throbbing with pain 24/7. I thinks I'm getting shin splints too.

The worst part, however, is that sooner or later every crappy job leaves a person wondering "is this it?", "is this all there is?".

One of the guys I work with told me "I've been doing this for 15 years, and I got nothing to show for it." He latter added that he never has time for his kids, and once he started in on whether or not there's an afterlife, it became pretty plain just how much real pain he's in.

The news this week for the physical future is that junior, who gets A LOT of $$$ from big corporations, 42 million just for his inauguration, is thinking about raising the retirement age for Social Security. All the proof you cold ever want that junior has never done a hard days work in his life. If he had he would know that there's a whole portion of the public that sacrifices it's health for its pay... And they can't fathom a raise in the retirement age.

...add to that, the republican's new bankruptcy law, and it feels as is the government has declared war on the poor.

from Here & Now

House lawmakers last week approved a permanent rollback of the estate tax. The bill still needs Senate approval, but Democrats are expected to block it.

The tax mostly affects the nation's super-rich, including the Walton family, owners of retail giant, Wal-Mart, who have lobbied for its permanent repeal.

As far as I know only the nation's super-rich pay an estate tax (estates valued over 3 million), and to say that the poor won't be affected is a lie.

Who the hell do you think is going to make up the difference?!?

On the spiritual front, we got a new Pope this week. Seems nice enough. Kinda has raccoon eyes, but we'll give him a chance. They say he's a defender of the "little people"... unless they want to wear a condom... or are gay... He may have been part of the SS??? Could have rounded up gays as far as I know....

On second thought, this Pope sucks.

"Were they sending a message to liberal American Catholics?" is a popular question. I don't know, but I am a liberal American Catholic, so let me just say this to the Vatican:

You're loosing us. You put your own rules before what's good for the world. You seem petty, and intolerant. You can't just tell us what the Bible says, and expect us to believe it anymore. We can read for ourselves.

More and more, we don't need you.

More and more, we have learned to speak for ourselves.

Schwarzenegger On The Rocks

Reuters

California Democrats showed increasing confidence on Saturday in challenging Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger after a series of bruising political battles that have weakened the Republican who once seemed invincible.

[...]

"We're right and he's just far-right," said state Treasurer Phil Angelides, who has declared his candidacy for governor and has been one of the Republican's most persistent critics.

So much for running for President. It looks like Ah-nold will be lucky just to be a two-term Govenor.

Republicans To Punish McCain

The Washington Times

Sen. John McCain has once again enraged Republicans by publicly opposing Majority Leader Bill Frist's plan to employ the so-called nuclear option for ending the filibusters against President Bush's judicial nominees.

[...]

Mr. McCain particularly outraged conservatives by telling Mr. Matthews that Republicans have done the same thing to Democrats in the past, a point that Republicans dispute.

Conservatives responded yesterday by coordinating a three-pronged attack on the Arizona Republican aiming to either flip him or kill any hope he may have of running for president again in 2008.

[...]

"He will have no presidential hopes if he pursues this course," said Manuel Miranda, a former Frist staffer who now chairs the National Coalition to End Judicial Filibusters.

[...]

"If Senator McCain refuses to stand up for fairness, it will damage his carefully crafted image and whatever aspirations he might have," said Marshall Manson with the Center for Individual Freedom, one of the groups in Mr. Miranda's coalition.

Just copying and pasting what these slimeballs said makes my skin crawl...

...hope I didn't get any on me.

Ya Know...

Pat Buchanan interviewed some right-wing, evanjelico whack-job on MSNBC on Friday, and they still haven't typed up the transcript.

It might have something to do with the fact that the whack-job told Buchanan that the Pope was going to hell.

I'll post the interview as soon as I can find a transcript, but shame on MSNBC for making me wait.

Listening to...

The Killers, "Mr. Brightside"

...The Killers are quickly becoming my favorite band. Reminds me of the phrase "parting is such sweet sorrow."

Then again Stereogram's "Walkie Talkie Man" gets me jumpin' so, so much for sweet sorrow.

Toothpaste cancer alert

from This is London

Dozens of toothpastes sold at supermarkets are at the centre of a cancer alert today.

Anti-bacterial cleaning products, including dishwashing liquid and handwash, are also affected.

Researchers have discovered that triclosan, a chemical in the products, can react with water to produce chloroform gas. If inhaled in large enough quantities, chloroform can cause depression, liver problems and, in some cases, cancer.

After working a 10 hour day I'm too tired see straight let alone form a coherent thought, but considering the amount of anti-bacterial crap I have in my house....

I'm thinking class action lawsuit.

...and for all you republicans out there thinking that this is no big deal:

Clorox + anti-bacterial whatever + subway = terrorist attack

I Love "Inside Politics"

If you've ever watched CNN's Inside Politics, then you know that at the end of every show they do a "Inside the Blogs" segment...

...and I have to admit that I'm addicted to it.

Mostly because they take the time to comment on what non-mainstream bloggers have to say. Atrios, Wonkette, InstaPundit and Andy "I hate myself" Sullivan are fine, but they don't represent all bloggers, and it's nice to hear someome else's opinion every now and again.

...and today it was mine!

Yep some dude (who's name I missed *sigh*) read from this recently corrected, type-o ridden post

This part on Tom Delay in particular:

It's not so much what he did, as it is, how over the top he did it.

No one cares if you hire your wife to run your campaign, but if she's cashing in like she won the freaking lottery... well that's another story.

Cool as hell!

Just hearing the phrase "freaking lottery" on my tv will have me LOL'ing for the rest of the day ;)

Eric who?

AP

With a hint of pride in his voice and a wink at prosecutors, Eric Rudolph pleaded guilty Wednesday to setting off a deadly blast at an abortion clinic, the first plea for a string of bombings that will send him to prison for life.

If the media is soooo damn liberal where's the coverage of this story?

As far as I can tell Drudge never even linked to it. Which is just more proof that the less than magnificent poofster's website is as biased as all out hell.

Rudolph's sympathizers on the other hand can be seen monday through friday, 9pm Est on MSNBC.

Tom Delay is SO Screwed

House Majority Leader Tom DeLay apologized Wednesday for using overheated rhetoric on the day Terri Schiavo died, but refused to say whether he supports impeachment of the judges who ruled in her case.

Too little, too late. Even Newt Gingrich crawled out from under his rock long enough to get a few shots in on Delay (sounding much like Gollum):

"DeLay's problem isn’t with the Democrats (*gooolum, goollum*); DeLay's problem is with the country"

Delay's defenders are pointing out that other pol's hire their family to work on their campaigns too.

An article from SFGate.com points out the big offenders. Like Republican Rep. Jerry Lewis, of California who paid his wife $111,000 to be his chief of staff.

Now that article says that Delay's wife and daughter pulled in more than $500,000 so we can safely assume that both made more than twice what Jerry Lewis' wife made.

The next big offender on their list was New York Democratic Rep. Tim Bishop who paid his daughter Molly $46,995 to be his 2004 campaign's finance director.

Approximately one fifth of what Delay paid his daughter.

...and that's Delay's biggest problem.

It's not so much what he did, as it is, how over the top he did it.

No one cares if you hire your wife to run your campaign, but if she's cashing in like she won the freaking lottery... well that's another story.

Heh-heh

from the NY Post

WHEN U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia spoke Tuesday night at NYU's Vanderbilt Hall, "The room was packed with some 300 students and there were many protesters outside because of Scalia's vitriolic dissent last year in the case that overturned the Texas law against gay sex,"

[...]

"One gay student asked whether government had any business enacting and enforcing laws against consensual sodomy.

Following Scalia's answer, the student asked a follow-up: 'Do you sodomize your wife?' The audience was shocked, especially since Mrs. Scalia was in attendance. The justice replied that the question was unworthy of an answer."

I'm quite sure that there's a "tongue in cheek" joke to be made here.

A Matter of Degrees

NY Times

Thousands of people rioted this week in a village in southeastern China, overturning police cars and driving away officers who had tried to stop elderly villagers protesting against pollution from nearby factories.

By this afternoon, three days after the riot, witnesses say crowds had convened in Huaxi Village in Zhejiang Province to gawk at a tableau of destroyed police cars and shattered windows. Police officers outside the village were reportedly blocking reporters from entering the scene but local people, reached by telephone, said villagers controlled the riot area.

"The villagers will not give up if there is no concrete action to move the factories away," said Mr. Lu, a villager who witnessed part of the confrontation and refused to give his full name. "The crowd is growing. There are at least 50,000 or 60,000 people."

While here in America, our leaders are passing laws that prevent it's citizens from sueing factories that pollute...

Alaskan Oil Spill

Reuters

An estimated 1.4 million cubic feet of natural gas and an unknown quantity of crude oil spewed from a leak in a pipeline at the Prudhoe Bay oil field on Alaska's North Slope, state environmental regulators said on Tuesday.

The resulting mist of crude oil coated an area nearly a mile long and averaged about 300 feet wide, the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation said in a statement.

[...]

The cleanup will be conducted "as long as it takes," [BP spokesman] Andrew Van Chau said.

Ya gotta fuckin love the arrogance of BP. Not only did they fail miserably at something that they, and other big oil companies, have been claiming that they could do safely for years (drill in Alaska), but on top of that... on top of destroying a mile long swath of land...

They send out their spokesman, and announce that They Will Obey The Fucking Law And Clean It UP!!!!!!!!!!

LIKE THEY'RE DOING US A FUCKING FAVOR!!!!!!!!

I live!

...and so does my house, thank God.

Hope to see ya soon.

You know you're in bad shape when....

It's breaking news that you're still alive.

*ba-rum-bump*

Yes, I know it's bad karma to make fun of someone on their death bed, but so what...

I think it's strange that I have no real feelings on the Pope dying.

Sure it's sad when anyone dies, with the exception of Ann Coulter, but for the most part, sad. But the Pope did just as much bad as good, and I have no real opinion of him. I do however know that he had a lot more to do with the German Wall comming down than that fruad Reagan ever did, so kudos there, but he also promoted the belief that humans are "special". This whole no birth control crap is destroying the planet, and no one will listen because "we're all God's children".

I hope the next Pope puts humanity before Catholicism...

...which is latin for the teachings of Cathol.

Just incase you were wondering.

Jeff Gannon Guilty of Plagiarism?

from Raw Story via The left Coaster

A Jun. 17, 2003 article published by Jim Guckert, who wrote under the pen name Jeff Gannon, contains numerous identical quotes and similar phrasing to an article written by Melissa Beecher for the Waltham Daily News Tribune five days earlier. A comparison of the two articles compiled by Brynaert follows.

In the article about a Massachusetts couple who refused to let their home-schooled children take a standardized test, Guckert used quotes identical to Beecher's article without attribution. Beecher was the only reporter in attendance at the couple's home the day the Department of Social Services came to collect the children.

Guckert did not respond to two email requests for comment.

This is big news, because Jeff Gannon was invited to speak about being a journalist at the National Press Club. The attention it got, being something that I've already weighed in on.

Now if you read the article at Raw Story you can see the comparison between the articles. Basically Gannon changed a sentence structered "A then B" to a "B then A" and called it his own.

Now despite the fact that I would describe Jeff Gannon as prostitute paid by bush to screw America, I actually have to defend him here. I was taught how to do this in grade school. How to take someone else's work, and I believe the phrase was "make it your own."

...and I've read enough "news" articles to know that CNN, MSNBC, fox and the rest of the mainstream media are just better at it then Jeff was.

Almost everything on cable news come from the NY Times. It's why fox complains about the Times so much. 'Cause they have to read it, every day. If they didn't they wouldn't have anything to talk about.

So why take it out on Jeff just because he's not as good at "re-writing" as others are?

...and as I understand it Jeff Gannon was invited to speak at the National Press Club when the topic is "Jeff Gannon"... So big deal!

Maybe It's just me, but I'm more concerned about the stories that don't get written, then the ones that do. I'm more concerned about the facts being right, then made up, like they are at fox. Should journalists give credit when it's do? Sure, but these people aren't really journalists. On an average news day 6 or 7 real journalists provide the stories that the rest of the media will spend the day talking about.

See, that's what reporting is now-a-days. You "report" on what somebody else's journalist wrote, and that way, you really don't need to have a journalist of your own.

Jeff was just going with the flow.

Joe Scarborough Must Go

I'm just waiting to see if MSNBC posts the transcript to last night's Scarborough Country. They shouldn't. What they should do is fire Scarborough on the spot, and hide all evidence of the shame he brings upon their network.

I refuse to be lectured on Terri Schiavo by a man that very well could have killed his intern.

This comes from theMarch 28'th edition of Scarborough Country

DANIELS: Doctor, was a CAT scan—Doctor, your critics would ask you, was a CAT scan used? Was an MRI taken? Were any of these tests taken?

Dr. Ronald Cranford. (A neurologist at Hennepin Medical Center in Minneapolis): You don‘t know the answer to that? The CAT scan was done in 1996, 2002. We spent a lot of time in court showing the—you don‘t have copies of those CAT scans? How can you say that?

The CAT scans are out there, distributed to other people. You have got to look at the facts. The CAT scan is out there. It shows severe atrophy of the brain. The autopsy is going to show severe atrophy of the brain. And you are asking me if a CAT scan was done? How could you possibly be so stupid?

SCARBOROUGH: Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait a second.

(CROSSTALK)

SCARBOROUGH: Hold on a second, if I can interrupt here.

CRANFORD: Go ahead. Joe, interrupt me.

Why don‘t you go ahead and tell the rest of the story there? Why don‘t you tell us that the radiologist that looked at the two CAT scans said she showed improvement in 2002 over 1996? You know, you seem so sure of yourself. The Associated Press reported yesterday...

CRANFORD: Joe, the judge didn‘t believe him.

SCARBOROUGH: Hold on a second. Hold on a second.

You are so sure of yourself. Respond to this. AP had a report yesterday. They said seven doctors have looked at her. Four said she was in persistent vegetative state. You were one of them, hired by Michael Schiavo to do that. There were three others that looked at her that disagreed.

How can you be so absolutely sure that everybody that agrees with you is 100 percent accurate and everybody on the other side is a charlatan?

CRANFORD: Joe, Judge—Judge Greer disallowed, didn‘t believe what Maxfield said. You got your numbers wrong. There were eight neurologists saw her. Seven of the eight said she was in a vegetative state. Only one said she wasn‘t.

SCARBOROUGH: I am quoting an Associated Press report from yesterday.

CRANFORD: Joe, you‘ve got to get your facts straight.

Add to this, and it's a shame that MSNBC doesn't do Imus transcripts, but add to this the next day Chris Matthews went on Imus in the morning, and chastised the right wingers for making shit up about Terri Schiavo. Like the nurse that claimed to feed her pudding, an out-right lie since Terri was incapable of swallowing. If that nurse had fed Terri, she would have inhaled some of the food and then developed a fatal infection.

Matthews went on and on shooting down things that pass as fact on Scarborough's show, and it doesn't take a huge leap of faith to connect the dots here.

Joe Scarborough is a self-aggrandizing liar.

I only wonder why Matthews doesn't come right out and say it.
